Due to regulatory constraints, we are required to do an additional verification step for persons involved in public activities.
This includes those who perform or have performed important public functions such as:
- Heads of state
- Heads of government
- Ministers or other members of government
- Secretaries of State or undersecretaries
- Parliamentarians
- Magistrates of supreme courts
- Constitutional courts or other high judicial instances whose decisions are not normally subject to appeal, except in exceptional circumstances, including the equivalent members of the Public Prosecutor's Office
- Members of audit courts or boards of central banks
- Ambassadors and chargé d'affaires; the senior military personnel of the Armed Forces
- Members of the administrative, management, or supervisory bodies of publicly owned companies
- Directors, deputy directors, and members of the board of directors, or equivalent function, of an international organization; and senior management positions of political parties with parliamentary representation
- The people, other than those listed in the previous points, who are considered senior officials in accordance with the provisions of article 1 of Law 3/2015, of March 30, regulating the exercise of senior positions in the Administration State General
- Persons who perform or have performed important public functions in the Spanish autonomous community, such as the Presidents and Councilors and other members of the Governing Councils, as well as persons who perform positions equivalent to those listed in letter a) and regional deputies
- In the Spanish local area, the mayors, councilors, and people who hold positions equivalent to those listed in letter a) of the capital municipalities of the province, or Autonomous Community and Local Entities with more than 50,000 inhabitants
- Senior management positions in Spanish trade unions or business organizations
- None of the categories provided for in the preceding sections will include public employees of intermediate or lower levels
