This is your guide to accepting payments using MONEI.
Step 1: Register for MONEI
To get started with MONEI, register here. By registering you’ll get access to your dashboard. The online dashboard is an area where you can manage your MONEI account. This includes account activation, configuring payment methods, and real-time payment analytics.
Once you’ve registered, you can:
- Test integrations and payments using test data function on the main page navigation
- Apply to activate your account
- Configure payment methods
- Invite team members
Step 2: Apply to activate your account
You must first activate your account before you can configure payment methods for your e-commerce store. Because MONEI is a payment gateway provider, we’re legally obligated to do detailed checks when you apply to activate your account.
Before applying to activate your account:
- Review and prepare your application requirements
- Check the list of countries MONEI currently supports
- Check the list of restricted businesses. Not sure if this applies to your business? Contact us and we can help.
Apply to activate your account from your dashboard by selecting Activate account on the main page navigation. You must fill in all the forms to submit your application. Need a visual? Learn how to activate your account here.
While you wait for your account approval, you can look at our integration guides. We suggest that you wait for the result of your application before you start the integration process.
Step 3: Account approval
After completing the forms mentioned in step 2, a member of our team will review your information. We’ll notify you within 24 hours if you’ve been approved or not.
Important! Once you've been approved, you must run a test transaction to complete your account setup. You can do this with the Pay By Link feature.
Step 4: Configure payment methods
Once your account has been approved, credit card payments will automatically be configured. And because digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Click to Pay are technically credit card payments, they will also be configured in your account. Additionally, we suggest that you set up PayPal and Spain's local peer-to-peer (P2P) payment app, Bizum.

NOTE: In the last few months, we’ve experienced a considerable increase in users. Our team is working hard to speed up the onboarding and payment configuration process. We appreciate your patience during this exciting time. Check this page for more information.
